Arnada prepares raised garden

Arnada -- Dreaming of home-grown tomatoes, volunteers in the Arnada neighborhood have spent weekends preparing the ground for the new community garden in the vacant lot between 16th and 17th and E and D streets. Eventually soil will be shoveled into the raised boxes. Neighbors who have requested boxes will pay an annual fee to cover the water bills. Then it will be time to get busy planting.
